We are so grateful for all that joined us for our Board Meet & Greet virtually this year!! If you have ever wondered what all BikeDFW is working on, we hope you will watch the video and learn more about our organization and what our goals are. We want to thank our special guests Daniel Guido with The Bike Gangs of Fort Worth, Ty Ketchum with Bell Flight, and our friends at Bike Friendly South Dallas for sharing with us to make the evening even better!! Enjoy!!
We are excited to share a Community Calendar with everyone!!
Think of it as a place to find & share local rides & events, so we can all spend more time together!! We know there are many that are still holding off on their regular rides due to the pandemic, but hope to start building this now as stores and groups start to ramp back up.
So...what is your favorite ride? Share all the info with us and we will get it posted!!

As we all navigate the ongoing COVID-19 (aka Coronavirus) pandemic, here at BikeDFW we are monitoring the situation very closely and following the guidance from public health authorities to ensure our volunteers, students and communities are safe. As a community-based organization, the core of our work is providing educational opportunities to the public, creating community at events, and meeting with the public and officials for bicycle advocacy. Currently we are taking the following steps:
Community Events & Meetings
We are reviewing each event we have on the schedule for the coming months and working with the hosts of the events to determine which ones are safe to go forward with. We are additionally handling all meetings remotely versus in-person for the indefinite future.
All Education Classes
Some of our most important work happens at our classes, and this work requires a hands-on approach that doesn't allow for the social distancing that is currently required. We are actively considering how we can continue to provide educational opportunities during this time when in-person classes are not possible. At this time, we are offering our Urban Cycling 101 class as a webinar, and continue to look for ways to get education out to the public We will continue assessing this aspect of our involvement with the community regularly and keep you all posted.
We recognize this is a challenging time for all, and we remain deeply committed to the safety of our members, volunteers, and communities.
Please take care of yourselves and each other,

BikeDFW’s latest community initiative, the Light It Up Program, has been a huge success in 2019 thanks to our awesome supporters and those that have stopped by our booths at events and have taken a set to give out when they see people riding without lights!
Greetings to The North Texas Bicycle Summit attendees and BikeDFW followers,
First, we want to thank those of you who participated in our North Texas Bicycle Summit, last year. We can’t thank you enough for spending your day to help us learn what the area’s cycling community is in need of, and how we can better serve you.
Along with our other duties as a volunteer organization, we’ve been hard at work over the past year, sifting through the data, working to create a stronger bicycle organization - designed by you - to better benefit the region.
