Bike Education
We work with certified instructors throughout the DFW metroplex to organize and promote bicycle education courses designed by the League of American Bicyclists.
League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) offer courses to suit the needs of any cyclist. Certified, insured and equipped to teach anything from basic skills to more advanced levels, LCIs are the experts in bicycle education and safety. LCI's can also offer modified versions of these courses and design bike rodeos and provide general safety consulting.
Many of the BikeDFW Board of Directors are also League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) - and we all volunteer our time to teach our Bike Education Courses. Although we charge a small tuition for each class, those funds are re-invested into the Bike Education Scholarship Fund.
Check the LAB site for courses in your area or contact us for more information at: [email protected]
In-person classes for 2022 are being planned with extensive COVID precautions in place. We have an extensive waitlist, but are dedicated to getting as many students taken care of as possible.
Our Virtual Urban Cycling 101 classes will continue monthly in 2022 via Zoom. Learn more about registering for these virtual classes here >>
