Across North Texas, we showed up—in neighborhoods, on trails, at city halls, and alongside partners—to support safer bicycling, stronger community connections, and better transportation choices for everyone.
Here’s a look at what that work looked like.
Strengthening Our Foundation
In 2025, BikeDFW focused on becoming a more visible, reliable, and regionally connected organization. That meant clarifying our role, rebuilding systems, and strengthening relationships across Dallas–Fort Worth.
We expanded partnerships with bike shops, nonprofits, healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and local agencies—recognizing that safer streets and more welcoming bicycling culture only happen through collaboration.
Education That Meets People Where They Are
Education remained at the heart of BikeDFW’s work.
Throughout the year, we supported and delivered:
- Youth bike rodeos and safety events
- Adult Learn-to-Ride and skills classes
- Community education focused on confidence, visibility, and safe riding
Community, Connection, and Showing Up
BikeDFW continued to invest in community connection through rides, events, and gatherings that brought people together around shared values.
From group rides and mixers to new ideas like Momentum: Books in Motion, we created spaces for conversation, learning, and relationship-building—recognizing that culture change happens when people feel connected to one another.
Advocacy for Safer Streets and Better Mobility
In 2025, BikeDFW supported advocacy efforts focused on safer streets, connected trails, and more inclusive transportation systems across North Texas.
This included:
- Supporting local and regional safe streets conversations
- Collaborating with allied organizations on mobility and transit issues
- Elevating the voices of people who rely on biking, walking, and transit every day
By the Numbers (Because It Matters)
While relationships and stories matter most, impact does too. In 2025, BikeDFW:
- Reached hundreds of people through education and safety programs
- Supported dozens of events, rides, and community activations
- Built partnerships across the Dallas–Fort Worth region
- Continued advocacy and collaboration in support of safer streets
Looking Ahead to 2026
The work of 2025 set the stage for what’s ahead.
In 2026, BikeDFW is building on this momentum with:
- Expanded education programs
- Youth bike rodeos and traffic safety initiatives
- Community campaigns focused on kindness and visibility
- Stronger regional partnerships
- Continued advocacy for safer, more connected transportation
Thank You for Being Part of This
None of this happens without the people who show up—our members, volunteers, instructors, partners, community allies, and supporters.
Whether you rode with us, volunteered, taught a class, partnered on an event, or simply believed in the work, thank you.
Together, we’re building a North Texas where bicycling is safer, more visible, and more supported.
