We are incredibly excited to bring back The BikeDFW UPSHIFT Awards for 2024, and this time we get to celebrate and recognize our Bike Heroes TOGETHER!!
For every trail mile, bike lane, bike rack & repair station; for every increase in funding for active transportation; and for every new person getting out and riding their bike, there is a person, organization, agency or business that has been doing the hard work of making the Dallas-Fort Worth region a better place to walk and bike.

We are incredibly excited to have a chance to recognize those who encourage, champion, and inspire us all with their commitment, and are making significant contributions to bicycling and active transportation in DFW. 

The BikeDFW UPSHIFT Awards are community-driven awards!! We ask our incredible cycling community members to nominate and vote for their Bike Heroes...those that encourage, support and inspire them as riders of the Dallas-Fort Worth community.

In 2021, our inaugural year, the community blew us away with their efforts!! More than 100 nominations were made, 1600+ people voted, and 8000+ votes were tallied, and we were thrilled to honor those that make a difference in the community. This year we are excited to have an additional category for nominations and voting, as well as the inaugural celebration of the nominees and award winners!!

The UPSHIFT Awards Celebration is going to be something you don’t want to miss! Four Corners Brewing is hosting us, and we will have a VIP reception, a Silent Auction, the Awards announcement and presentation, and mixing & mingling. Our Sponsors and other local nonprofits will be set up outside in Bike Alley to share with the attendees all they have to offer.

​Bike DFW is now accepting registrations for our 2024 Adult Learn to Ride courses.

Classes are held once a month in Plano at Hobliztle Park

Our first class is currently scheduled for March 3rd 

If you are interested in attending this class, be sure to signup now as space is limited.

The funds raised go towards BikeDFW's Community Initiatives: 

> Education - to increase the accessibility of classes we provide in our community. 
> Bike Amenities - to develop our cost-share program that will allow local businesses to increase bike rack availability, cost-effectively, and provide Fixit Stations to underserved areas of the region. 
> Our "Light It Up" Program - designed to allow us to purchase and distribute bike light sets to our friends in the community who can then distribute them to those in need.
​>Community Micro-grant program - to increase opportunities for bike/mobility related development by communities and small nonprofits across the region.
