Greetings to The North Texas Bicycle Summit attendees and BikeDFW followers,
First, we want to thank those of you who participated in our North Texas Bicycle Summit, last year. We can’t thank you enough for spending your day to help us learn what the area’s cycling community is in need of, and how we can better serve you.
Along with our other duties as a volunteer organization, we’ve been hard at work over the past year, sifting through the data, working to create a stronger bicycle organization - designed by you - to better benefit the region.

Moving forward:
Based on the process and the ideas that have been expressed by the BikeDFW Board, The Summit Design Team, and those that participated in the North Texas Cycling Summit, BikeDFW has determined the following structure is the best means to achieve our goals:
• An entity that benefits local bicyclist and bicycle organizations
• An entity that provides bicycle education
• An entity active in local bicycle events
• An entity that promotes safety and supports bicycle advocacy efforts
To educate. To support. To promote.
To achieve these goals, BikeDFW has been going through a ‘rebranding’ phase that we will be rolling out over the next few months. This includes some new changes within the BikeDFW Board of Directors we are very excited about, and look forward to sharing with you.
We would like to take this opportunity to announce our updated leadership rolls, starting with our new President, Barbara Fullerton. Barbara brings in a new level of organization and leadership that will help guide us through our transition.
There have been a few other changes within the BikeDFW Board, including some additions, some roll changes and some retirements. Watch for full introductions across social media in the coming days and weeks. Ultimately, we believe we have a strong and nimble group of leaders that will help us achieve the goals that were designed by you at last year’s summit.
We are reaching out to you to become part of this organization and the future of bicycling in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. We are in need of leaders and volunteers to help take us to the next level.
Just send us your name, contact information and how you would like to be involved or click on this link: BikeDFW.org/volunteer.
We look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
BikeDFW Board and The North Texas Cycling Design Team
