Plano needs cyclists and pedestrians for a traffic count

plano_bluebonnet.jpg

Just received this from Renee Jordan, Trail System Planner for the Plano Parks and Recreation Department. Please help if you ride (or walk) on the Bluebonnet Trail!

"Plano is looking at putting in a traffic signal at Preston Road and Commonsgate where Bluebonnet Trail might cross Preston Road. Both vehicular traffic on Preston Road and bike/pedestrian traffic on the Bluebonnet Trail at Preston will be counted in a traffic study. Here is the information below if you want to be counted in the study."

When?

Wed 10/31 from 1 pm to 7 pm
Thurs 11/1 from 7 am to 1 pm

What?

You need to travel west on the Bluebonnet Trail and turn around in the gas station parking lot (QuikTrip) and head back east during the above windows of time. Or, enter/exit Bluebonnet Trail at Preston in any way that works for you.
