Dallas Texas: A Cyclist-friendly Community |
May 17, 2009 - Two experienced bicycle commuters and journalists from Orlando recently spent some time cycling in Dallas. Depsite Bicycling Magazine's designation as one of the worst cities in America for cycling, Keri Caffrey got only positive vibes while riding our streets. She wrote, "If you’ve only seen Dallas from the driver’s seat of a car, you don’t know what you’re missing"! Ms. Caffrey was impressed with the courtesy of Dallas drivers, Dallas' signed bike-route system, and easy connections with DART buses (which all have bike racks), DART Rail and TRE trains.
